22nd FIPS-Mouche European Fly Fishing Championships

RULE MODIFICATIONS
FIPS-Mouche has appointed Poland to be the host country for the 22nd FIPS-Mouche European Fly Fishing Championship to be held in Slupsk, Poland
These Rule Modifications apply to the latest published FIPS-Mouche Competition Rules.
Article 2 : General Information
2.2. Add: Four sessions will be held in rivers, bank fishing, wading allowed. One session will be held on a lake, bank fishing, wading not allowed;
Article 9: Bank Fishing Competitions
9.3. Add: The beats on the river will be an average of 300 (three hundred) meters with buffer zones of 5 (five) meters. The length of the beats on the still water sector will be
a minimum of 12 (twelve) meters with buffer zones of 5 (five) meters.
9.7 Add: Wading is only allowed on the river sectors and chest waders may be worn.
Add 9.9 : During the lake fishing there will be 4 rotations 45 minutes fishing time each with
3 times 10 minutes rotation time.
Change in 29.6: a maximum of 2 flies is allowed.
Article 11: Duration of events, scoring and practice sessions
11.3. Add: The hours for fishing will be in the program of the championship: from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00, with an exception of Session 3 which will be held from 10:00 to 13:00.
11.4. Add: All official practice will be catch and release, the schedule and rotation of practice beats will be in the program of the championships.
Add – All official and unofficial practice will be fished with barbless hooks.
Article 24: Eligible fish
Add: Eligible fish species:
During bank fishing River: GRAYLING (Thymalus thymalus) with minimum length of 250 mm.
During bank fishing Lake: the following species with a minimum lenght of 150 mm:
Rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss
Brook trout Salvelinus fontinalis
Perch Perca fluviatilis
Grass Carp Ctenopharyngodon idella
Roach Rutilus rutilus
Rudd Scardinius erythrophthalmus
Common bream Abramis brama
Silver bream Blicca bjoerkna
Prussian carp Carassius gibelio
Crucian carp Carassius carassius
Bleak Alburnus alburnus
Ruffe Gymnocephalus cernuus
Gudgeon Gobio gobio
Measuring will be done from the tip of the nose to the extremities of the tail, squeezed together.
Article 31: Prohibitions
31.1 Add: The following is prohibited:
The fishing of competition sectors, including official practice sectors, by competitors or their agents during a period of thirty (30) days prior to the official start of the event.
